This past weekend, my boyfriend and I went to the St. Louis World’s Fair Heritage Festival in Forest Park to celebrate the 1904 World’s Fair visit to the Lou. The weather was perfect and Forest Park on a Sunday has the best vibes! Since we would be walking a bit, I wanted to be cool and comfortable so I went with this easy breezy striped dress from TJ Maxx. The best thing about stripes are they are simple and you can usually find striped pieces for a bargain. This jersey knit dress is so comfy I could sleep in it. It can be layered with a cropped sweater or scarf and riding boots for cooler temps too.
My second favorite part of this outfit is the back to school trend: the backpack purse. It’s convenient, practical, easy to carry and not to mention super cute. Wear both straps and lose the weight of carrying a purse or wear it on one shoulder for the laid-back stylish look. With a day full of walking around food trucks and art booths, this bag was the perfect hassle free purse (plus it fits alot too!)
Other key pieces to wear while the weather is changing: Felt floppy hat (similar here), gladiator sandals (they’ll keep you warmer than regular sandals-see here and here) and last but not least, a little piece of Chanel (found at a thrift store in Seattle).
