Last weekend, my boyfriend and I, packed our weekender bags and headed to the countryside to meet several of our family and friends for an all-day outdoor lamb roast complete with apple cider whiskey drinks, s’mores and campfire side story telling.
My family has a house, referred to as ‘the Clubhouse’, in the outskirts of St. Louis county, right along the Meramec river. It is mostly used during hot summer days filled with boating, fishing, BBQing and floating, but it is nice to head out there during the fall weekends to enjoy nature’s finest season. It is everything you could ask for when you are seeking peace and quiet, not to mention some beautiful views.
For the weekend away, I packed my new favorite weekender bag from the recently released Adam Lippes for Target collection. Everything in the collection is plaid and screams fall! I love this bag, especially for the price (less than $50!). It is beautifully made with braided handles, gold hardware, and tassel accents. The black and white is pristine and while there are hints of lumberjack vibes (which i love), it can also be paired with a classier outfit for a weekend jetset getaway.
Other most important piece for the weekend trip were these olive green Steve Madden hiking boots. I love everything about these. They are total kick-ass girl mod and I feel like they are impossible to ruin. The clubhouse isn’t the cleanest establishment and wearing any nice pair of boots are sure to get ruined. These are easy to clean and so comfortable to have on all day long.
