October is here and so is apple picking season. The other weekend, my aunt told me about this Caramel Apple Sangria recipe that I couldn’t resist to try. I usually am not a fan of any sangria other than red because they are too sweet, but after much experimentation, it turns out they are delicious. It is the taste of fall captured in one glass, kind of like a pumpkin spice latte, but better because it has alcohol.
The perfect cocktail recipe for any girl’s fall get-together
Here is what you will need:
Crisp Pinot Grigio
For 1 serving, use:
3/4 cup apple cider
1/2 cup pinot grigio
2 shots caramel vodka (less or more as needed)
Note: Read the back of the pinot grigio to look for the word “crisp”. This Concannon is perfect because it is “light bodied with flavors of crisp melon and apple”
Line the top of the inside of the glass with caramel syrup. Wait a minute or two for it to drip down the side of the glass.
Slice the caramel apple and add slits to fit over the glass for garnishment.
Note: You can also cut up apples and add them to the drink or freeze the apples ahead of time and serve them as the ice cubes for the drink!
Then serve…MMM delicious
Don’t forget to pick up some super cute personalized glasses like these ‘State and Heart’ ones from White Elephant Designs. They have countless personalization options and offer more than just wine glasses!
